Like many of you, my Pokémon journey began in 1999 with Base Set booster packs and the thrill of chasing that elusive holographic Charizard. I spent countless hours playing the original Game Boy games, training my team and exploring Kanto. The original 151 Pokémon captured my imagination then, and that passion has never faded.

What started as childhood nostalgia laid dormant for over two decades. I stopped collecting after Neo Genesis, but the hobby pulled me back in Spring 2025 with the Journey Together release. Now I'm rediscovering the magic—grading my original cards from 1999, sourcing premium Japanese products, and diving deep into the modern scene. But here's the truth every collector knows: funding the hobby means making smart decisions about what to keep and what to pass on to fellow enthusiasts.
